So, day 4. We took this bus tour on new years day. These were our stops.
1. Bath--literally where the word came from.
This is what it looked like. It's an OLD bath that the ancient Romans bathed in. Looks just like the movies huh?
Since it was new years, we got to eat dates that those romans used to eat for new years. OLD recipi!
2. Stone Henge--ya, that place
No need to explain what this place is I'm sure. Why it's there? Who put it there? How? no one knew the answers. These audio guides were talking about all these questions, and at the end of the tour, they justified their ignorence just by saying "the mystery is the beauty of this place." Ya, that was diapointing.......but really. Those HUGE rocks right out of nowhere (or so it seems.) It was awesome!! I even bought a magnet with a picture on it at the gift shop :)
3. Solesberry--saw the magnacarta in this PRETTY church!!
This building was SO amazingly gorgious! all the glass work and the angel figures all over it, and just the atmosphere was great!
I was supposed to wake up at 5:30 in the morning so that the 2 guys could get ready after me, but when I saw the clock for the first time, it was already 7:00. WE WERE SUPPOSED TO LEAVE @7:30!!! we rushed out the door, got a cab and grabbed Saiko (Our new lovely friend from the same collage) along the way, and barely slid in the door to get on the tour bus. We were waiting for Kanako (Another gorgious new friend....ya, ikko has lots of lady friends ;) ) She was running EVEN later!! Good thin our tour guide was running the latest, and we couldn't even get on the bus til like 30minutes after........BRITISH PEOPLE........
Anyways, we had a marvelous time at the tour, and decided to go out for Thai food for dinner. We were told that we would have another friend join us, but he didn't show up for a while, so we started eating. By the time we got done eating our meals, Kim-Ni came to join us. We had a great time and laughed a LOT. it was great.
Shocker. (not really)
