We're still getting little quakes every once in a while, but you know, a girl's gotta have some fun and move the economy a little bit right? So this weekend was pretty fun.
Okay, Friday.
Was planning to go out for dinner with BF yushi, but didn't even come in for work, so decided to eat at home (not saying that wasn't fun or anything...) My parents stayed home for the weekend, not going to Bato. Yes, now THIS IS RARE. We do not have enough gas to go around the whole population. So we stayed home and watched TV. It was weird. NONE of us knew what was showing on Fridays, so we were kind of lost......
Saturday.
Was supposed to meet up with Yushi @10:00am for his late birthday shopping spree. He showed @ 11:00. NOT SO RARE. Anyways, we headed into this small mall-type shopping center, and it was so weird. Only half the lights were on to cut down on electricity. (As I have been telling you we have intentional blackouts to cut down so that the people who really need it can have some.) We could see the shops with only half the lighting, but it was just so quiet with the music also being cut. There were definately a lot few customers than a regular saturday.
I got yushi some :
2 pairs of shoes
A jacket for work
3 shirts for work
Yushi got me some ( I know, it was supposed to be HIS birthday, not MINE, but o well ):
2 pairs of shoes
a coat for the coming spring.
For dinner, we met up with a bunch more friends for a farewell for our dear friend Hiroshi. He will be leaving us in about a week to go to Thailand for a job. You know what this means??? FREE ACCOMODATION!!!
And guess where we went?
Yes, Hooters!!!! I guess boys will always be boyz huh?
They were having this donation thing going on, and a bottle of beer was \500 (a little over $6), and it went out to the Tohoku area earthquake fund, so they were drinking LOTS of that!
And what do Japanese people do when they get drunk?
Yes, Karaoke!
It was WAY fun!
Here's a pic of ALL of us
Sunday.
Mom, Dad and I went on a walk to go visit gampa and have lunch at Ueno! We ended up walking for an hour and a half. Finally had some tempura, did some shopping and came home.
Last night, Momoko and Aya ↓these 2 decided they wanted to go to Costco. and since I have a membership and a car, I had the honor to take them. jk I told them when I got home from lunch and left for costco.
These are the kids I went to Costco with. It was a fun crowd! I didn't want to go home this day to a lonely bed. Yes, I had that much fun!!
Monday.
This monday was a national holiday. So Keita and I decided to do a little cleaning our rooms. Ya, that produced a LOT of waste.
It was a pretty full weekend. Wouldn't you say?
