Temple day

Anne and Steve got me tickets to go see the new Ogden Temple, but they were unable to take me, so Leah and Jeff took me. It was amazing!

Normally, not many people get to see the inside of a temple, but the temple was just barely built, and not dedicated yet, so we go to see EVERY ROOM!!! The reservation was at 10, so they came and picked me up at 9:30. ( after I had that wonderful breakfast of fruit!! ) There were a bunch of Desert Rose motif all over the place. And we found some in the flower beds also.

The night before, I was talking to the Henleys about the visit to the temple the following day, and Megan told me I should look at the Stained glass. Lauren told me I should look at the door knobs with the flowers on them. This was Leah and Jeff's 3rd visit, and they did not know that the door knobs had roses on them. So we were looking around the whole building looking for Rose motifs, and they were literally everywhere.

I personally enjoyed the paintings on the wall, and I asked Leah where I could get them, and she told me that some of the paintings were only for the temple, and that you could not get them anywhere.....

The building had been under construction for the past 4 years. this is what it used to look like.

This is what it looks like now.

I like the new look :)

But above everything, there was a calm atmosphere that I enjoyed there. Peaceful feeling. Everybody was so happy to be there. That is what I enjoyed most.

Here is the cheezy picture we got to take in front of a panel. haha

Afterwards, we went to Roosters for lunch. I knew Britt used to work there, but it was actually my first time eating there. The food was soo yummy!! I had the lobster ravioli, and I pretty much inhaled the whole plate. Their homemade rootbeer was awesome too. I even had the lady fill my glass out.

They dropped me off a little after noon, and I was so stuffed and tired, I went right to bed. I napped for a couple of hours, and didn't even realize Anne and Steve had come home. I did some work on the computer. (Yes, I am not done with work yet. I have been on my computer for a few hours a day to check up and keep up on work).

The Westergards came over for dinner, and we all had pizza. A HUGE pizza! Becki brought the dough, and Anne prepared the salad. Good food, and Good company. And man, do the Westergard kids EAT!!! They were munching on every kind of food they could get their hands on before dinner, and they still managed to have a full dinner when the time came.

This is Becki making pizza.

......I think I need to be prepared to stock on some food when my little Godzilla grows up. Yikes!
